Goal setting & being able to tick off the list :)

Hi everyone,

Goal setting is important as it drives us to do what we have to, to reach our goals at the end of each step.

At the beginning of the year, I sat down and thought of a few things I would like to be able to treat myself to from working my Avon business.

At the end of January, I was able to buy myself a keyboard with a stand and headphones. I have wanted to learn how to play the keyboard for years and now I have finally bought it as I focused on what I wanted. Although, this time round, I didn’t get this entirely through Avon, I also combined some Christmas money too lol. But it was a nice feeling to tick something off the list!

So now, I have the goal of trying to teach myself how to play! haha.

For a bit of fun: One song that sticks with me now from going to the Live Your

Dream event (see previous posts about LYD) is by Queen – A kind of magic.

They had us all singing this song and the first line is ‘One dream, one soul, one

prize, one goal’. Here is the video for you to listen too.

My new website!

Hello again!

This is just a quick post….I just wanted to share my website with you all!

Take a look around and leave a comment, I would love to hear some feedback from you all!!

I hope 2013 is going well for you all so far 😉

2013 – HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

Hello everyone,

I just want to say Happy new year! As I write this I have had 673 views. Thank you to everyone who has taken a few minutes out of their day to read my blog all about Avon.

Every year we always hope it will be a better year then the last. But this year does actually feel like it is going to be a good year, of course I could be totally wrong and unexpected things can happen, but it feels good in the fact that for the first time ever, I have sat down and properly thought of some goals and targets I want to achieve. With a fresh new year, I feel focused and ready.

So this morning I went prospecting for the first time this year (second day in lol). I went to Romford and met up with the area manager Maria and a local sales leader Brunella. It was quite quiet in the high street today, so Brunella and I went to some flats and houses and handed out quite a lot of prospecting cards. Tomorrow we may be doing the same.

One thing I want to make a real effort with whilst I do not have a full time job, is that I want to be going out to prospect, leaflet drop as many times a week possible. From doing that, you build your team, and earn more, as we all know!!

2013 1                                                                                                                                                                               Here is to 2013!

Christmas is coming!

Hello everyone,

I have only just realised today that Christmas is next week!! I can not believe how quick this year has gone! I think 2012 has been quite a hard year for alot of people I know, including myself too, in some ways. I still have a couple of people to buy presents for, and I still have presents I need to give out, and lots more wrapping too!

Avon wise, my sales have actually improved towards the end of this year, but I think that is due to the fact that I worked harder this year to get new customers etc. Also I have the most Avon reps in my team since I started which I am pleased about too! But still heaps of room for more!

Around now, is the time I should be putting some goals into place for next year, business wise, but with the stress of preparation for Christmas, I don’t seem to be focusing and having the self motivation at this moment in time! Is it just me, or you too?!

After Christmas (but before the new year) I shall be sitting down and getting in the mode ready with a plan, for when I go out there in the new year!

I am sure I will be more ‘christmassy’ by the end of the week, when everything is almost done. I would love to hear how everyone else’s Christmas preparation is going or how your year has been, please leave a comment in the box below!

Thanks for reading! xXx

Long time, no….post!/ Live your Dream part 2

Hello Everyone 🙂

It has been quite a long time since I wrote a new post on here! A couple of months ago, I was working 6 days a week running a coffee shop aswell as many other things, so it was all go go, but finally I can write my next post, so I will carry on with part 2 of Live your Dream….

Me and Grace was in our room at the hotel getting ready for the gala dinner, and I was soo excited! I love dressing up glam and I couldn’t wait to see what was going to be happening next. Once Grace and I got ready, Ally and Usha met us in our room and we all went down together.

When we entered the hall, there was round tables with pretty light decorations on, and there was little gift bags at every seat, lots of wine on each table, the place just looked great! Here is a picture.

All of the ladies were dressed up in gorgeous dresses and the men were in smart suits. Everyone was having a lovely time, talking to each other, having dinner, drinking wine and there was lots of entertainment too which made it extra special! Especially, as the pop star and face of Avon, Alesha Dixon was on the stage singing! Here are some pictures of our night!

Once the gala dinner had finished, there was then a party room where everyone was dancing and enjoying themselves and letting their hair down 🙂

After that, Usha and me decided to go and have some tea in the lounge area, by this time it was around 12.30am I think, and it had been a long day with a lot to take in. We then decided to call it a night.

The next day, I woke up to the alarm ringing at 5.30am *yawn*. It was a very early start and I didn’t want to miss breakfast lol, so I got up and ready, packed my things, and a little while after me, Grace was up too and we went down for breakfast. I have to say I was impressed with the choice of breakfast, I didn’t expect there to be as much as there was. I decided to go with some hot food and some fruit juice 🙂 By then, I was ready to start the day.

This was our second day, and it included lots of recognition. People won vouchers, mobiles, Ipads for their hard work. There was also a raffle where everybody in the room had a chance to win a car! That was an amazing moment for the winner! We all went home with lots of goodies and found out what was coming in the brochures in the run up to Christmas.

It was all in all a fantastic experience and I am definitely going to be attending again!

Wow! Where do I start…..

For those of you who don’t know about THE AVON EVENT OF THE YEAR – it is called ‘Live Your Dream’ (LYD). This is an event which all the Avon Sales Leaders and Area Sales Managers go to. It was my first year of going to this event…

We were all going to be staying at the Hilton hotel in Birmingham. Ally, Usha, Grace and I all went together in the car. It was going to take us a couple of hours to get there and we were all really excited as it was all our first year of going to this event, but we had heard loads about it. It sounded amazing…. and it was AMAZING 🙂

Once we arrived, we all had to go to the Kings suite where all the sales leaders would be for tea and coffee. The room was huge, and there was alot of people. Someone had told me, there was 800 sales leaders there, so it was very exciting 🙂 I noticed some people who were on my Avon Facebook page (Carly Avon Chigwell Essex – add me!). We then all went into the palace suite for Lunch. We sat at the table with our upline sales leader, Amanda Garrett. Here is a couple of pictures:

I was sharing my room with Grace and after lunch we put our suitcases in our rooms, and then we had our presentations in the Monarch suite.

The Avon Stage

After all the presentations had finished, everyone went to start getting ready for the evening – the gala dinner. This was the part I was really looking forward to!!

Hello again!

Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I have wrote my last post! I have put it down to doing all late shifts at work, then changing jobs preparing to open a coffee house/café which has now been opened and is my fourth week running it 🙂 So here is my post finally, about my Avon trip to Corby.

My upline Sales Leader, Amanda Garrett, had won her team (that includes me lol) a trip to Corby, to the Avon Factory. I booked the day off work and me and Grace drove to Amanda’s. From there we all went in Amanda’s car, and the excitement was building up. I was so excited about getting to see how everything works, gaining more Avon knowledge and most of all the discount Avon shop!! It’s so good, you can only have 1 basket!

When we got there we all went into a room, introduced ourselves to one another. We was all given a nice lunch and dessert and we were divided into small groups to take a look around. The factory was hugggeeeee. We got to see how our orders come together in the boxes and just how large scale everything is. I loved it, and found it so interesting.

The shop was fantastic, and so cheap, I got loads of bargains and my basket was filled above the top! And to end it, we all got a nice cup of tea!

I took a little break from doing Avon, for the last 2 months. But now that things are going along a bit more smoothly, from today I am ready to focus again on my Avon business. Over the next few days I am going to be making a monthly plan so I am more organised, and know what I am aiming for. I have been on my Avon Facebook page today (if anyone would like to add me – Carly Avon Chigwell Essex) making a note of lots of tips I have got from Sales Leaders at higher levels like Gail Reynolds and Yogeeta Mistry.

In a couple of weeks, I will be attending the biggest Avon event of the year – Live Your Dream (LYD). I am VERY excited! And I will be staying at the Hilton Hotel 😀 can not wait! 🙂
